Subject: Bay Konis: swap for Vanagon Konis or Bilsteins?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I have been trying to find a set of Konis or Bilsteins for my Australian-market 84 Caravelle GL (=Vanagon). Its old Boges are getting very soft and really need replacement. I have had no luck here in New Zealand.

I have a set of Konis from my 75 Bay, which vehicle I have now sold (a Toyota V8 conversion which was 100% botched by a cowboy installer, resulting in a ruined engine and van). This set has done less than 5000km (3000mi). I believe new units for either front or rear, I cannot remember which, are no longer available, so here's someone's chance!

Does anyone have a GOOD set of Vanagon Konis or Bilsteins they'd like to swap for my Konis?

I have e-mailed some LiMBO members also about this.
