To all who responded with parts requests, I will get back to you.  For
the time being, a buddy just got back from out of town to discover his
auto tranny in his F*** van croaked.  He's not sure if he'll replace
with a junkyard tranny, get a new used vehicle, or bite the bullet and
buy a new car.  In the meantime, I offered him the use of this 87
Vanagon, though he'll need to refill the cooling system once or twice a
day.  Not sure how long he'll be using it, but I will reply to each of
you once I get it back.

Please note - During the past 17 years of operation, several gigabytes of Vanagon mail messages have been archived. Searching the entire collection will take up to five minutes to complete. Please be patient!
