Hi again, just in case anyone was wondering, that was the problem. I dropped it off at a place called A&D Buggies in Torrance who promised to re-build it in a day. I'm only visiting down here in SoCal, I live in the Bay Area(600+miles away) and was suppose to be back at work on thursday, so thanks to everyone who reccomended ordering parts but I needed local. I found A&D Buggies while driving to another parts place to buy a new one, and decided to take a chance. I'll let you know how it works out. They are charging $90 to rebuild, a new one was $150.00. At least with the rebuild I know it will fit. Later, Juli ailing but diagnosed "84 westy
