Bought Skippy, he drove good.  Developed perhaps a light tap at idle, or
maybe im listening too hard.

Went on long trip, everything OK

Van seemed to run a little hot, and perhaps lacked some power

Took to VW guy and he timed it.

Ran OK for 10 miles.

Blue smoke and power faded on highway.  Pulled over.  Found hose had
fallen off breather spewing oil everywhere.

Cleaned up, replaced hose, and drove home.

Bus has little power, runs rough, wont go over 30, and engine rocks at
idle.

Removing plug wires one by one causes changes in engine except for #3
cylinder (i was mistaken earlieer)

Put in new plugs, cap, and rotor.  #3 plug oily, all others OK.  Engine
will not start, thought I had the wires on wrong but I didnt.  Give it
some gas and it starts.  White smoke appears?  Engine seems to run fine
at high rev with no load, but still runs rough at idle.

Test drive reveals no power.  Some more white smoke.  Oil level OK, etc.
etc.

This is a rebuild with 3 years and only 11k on it from ATK.

ANY SUGGESTIONS...  AM i gonna have to sell my body to science?  Help
would be appreciated!
