Hmmm......I cannot figure why I have several customers with 300~400K miles on Golfs and Jettas, must be that they don't last at all!

Oh I seriously doubt that statement! More realistic is that most buyers wanted the 5-cyl. making it less profitable to sell the 4 also. The 2.0 has plenty of power.
