Avoid the Midas Monkeys, I have seen several Vanagons done there, they slap on a poorly constructed muffler, and use a (get this!) generic rubber hanger, suspending the muffler from the BODY, not mounting it to the engine as it should be. This will cause the 'connector' pipe and sometimes the 'Y' pipes to crack, as the engine moves around as the muffler stays attached to the body. Your best buy is to get the real McCoy from Bus Depot or wherever, and pay someone that knows Vanagon exhaust to install it.
