I just installed some MB Quart 4" seperates in front and 4" 2 ways in the back a/c cabinet with an Alpine MiniDisk player in the dash and a bazooka 8" tube under the driver side rear seat. It only took me a couple of hours to do it and it sounds great. I looked around for along time for a head unit that wasn't too long for my vanagon dash. I had a sony and I had to jam it in to get it to fit, skipped like crazy and overheated right away. The Alpine has is under 6" deep if I remember, I actually have some air between the end of the deck and the duct in the dash. I hated cutting holes in my drivers door panels for the tweets but it came out clean and it was worth it!

I have a 85 VanagonGL with factory speakers placed in the front of each door. I want to upgrade but the speaker cover doesnt want to come Any ideas from someone whos been through it?? thanks jcal
