Try traderonline.com I've found them there quite often (of course you see more westies than syncro westies). The prices are stagering. Most the westies I've seen are at least 8,000 and the few westie syncros I've seen are 15-20,000+ so like Peter said you'd be lucky to find one for 10,000 - or unlucky depending on how you look at it (blown engine, trashed drive train, trashed interior ect.)

Heath

P.S. for example from Traderonline.com -----

1990 Syncro Westfalia.80k mostly highway miles. In excellent shape. All records. All options.Rare.email to roadcamp@hotmail.com Color: White 80300 miles, $26000

1991 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia Syncro (4wd) complete camper, air Color: Silver $24500

1986 Volkswagen Vanagon Camper, syncro, grey interior, extra studded tires on rims. Color: Silver $11000

You'll be very lucky if you'll find one for this price. Check syncro.org for more info.
