Perplexed-There's a strong possibility that your strong gas smell is coming
from a deteriorated hose or cracked elbow in the gas tank venting system. Had
the same problem and finally removed the tank and replaced all the hoses &
parts involved. With the parts on hand and a little skill and the Bentley
Book you can do it in one afternoon. Dealer wants about $400.00 to do it. Not
a difficult fix.
