Boy martin you  do get around... as for the quotes are those in CDN or U$
currency... the exchange is around 50%
and would it be possible to keep your US ins  I go through ALLSTATE and I
have an international insurance card.. states that my vehicle has valid ins
in the us.. the cheesy ones they mail to home  are not internationally
accepted.. could be big headaches in a bender fender..

Hi folks,

I'm moving north. Edmonton, AB to be more specific. I'm in
Edmonton right now on a house hunting trip, and I called around
for insurance. I brought my accident and ticket free driving record from
Safeco, but still got the above quotes. For my Westy camper I was
quoted 5-800CDN for liability alone. Scary as I only pay a couple of
hundred now.

Any of you Canadians on the list know how to get reasonably priced
insurance?

Also is CAA (AMA in AB) a the best deal around for maps and towing
insurance? Their ski lift ticket discount any good?
