I have heard of one being done recently. Also, VW itself did an experimental rear-engined supercharged WBX Polo wagon in the earlier 90s but never put into production.

I suspect that if you could do welding and machining to increase the headgasket contact area the WBX leakage problem could be cured.

Please, can we all drop the aggro? We're all supposed to be friends here, but instead some number of folks are sounding like a Kiwi VW club...
