Because there is still only one plug, having two plugs in the T4 engines significantly reduce the piston wear. The plug is at the top of the cylinder.

I was joking about the dual plug idea in the WBX. Plus with Digifant, the ECU control the spark not the distributor. You would have to have a new FI system to go along with it.

I WOULD rather have the DISTRIBUTORLESS ignition system. It would eliminate the voltage loss from the cap and rotor and the need to replace the cap and rotor. Dual coil pack directly to the spark plugs. And would cost about the same.
