>Does anyone know a quick and easy way to (correctly and safely) disconnect >the annoying door buzzer that goes off when you leave your key in the >ignition? Insert key in ignition. Open door. Get your ear up close to relay panel. Determine by touch and/or sound which relay is making all that annoying racket. Remove key. Disconnect battery ground in you are really anal (I am). Pull out the noisemaking relay. Reconnect battery. Bag and label the relay in case you ever want to put it back in. Insert key. Open door. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Blessed silence! I have done this to all the vans I have owned. Easy, quick, silence is golden! Best wishes, Tony Anthony L. Mourkas Hampden, Maine, USA 1984 Vanagon Westfalia 1991 Jetta Eco Diesel |
