Somebody made an interesting comment yesterday about the O2 sensor not grounding through rusty exhaust systems. Then somebody said their engine problems went away after replacing part of the exhaust system... Hmmm.... Does adding adding a ground to the O2 sensor make sense? How do the later three-wire systems work? One of the three wires would be a ground wire? I am running a fairly new Bosch one wire "generic" replacement. I have replaced the cat and muffler, but the rest of the system is pretty old (rusty). How would the mixture be effected if the ground was bad? Rich? Jay '85 Westy |
