I decided to do my own tune-up again on my 83.5 as I had some time this weekend. I haven't done it myself in several years. I would appreciate it if someone could refresh my memory on the timing notches. I have 2 paint marks, 1 on the big pulley towards the front of the van and one on the smaller one towards the rear of the van. Which one of these do I use and where do I line it up when using my cheesy FLAPS timing light? Also, to get the idle down to 850, I had to turn the big screw clockwise about 2 rotations , which seems excessive. Comments? Thanks, Bryan |
