The newer ones have a allen bolt and washer for the drain plug. The old tapered shaft style work fine until someone over tightens it and then the seat cracks and the thing will drip forever. I have seen several that were welded up and threaded for a "normal" type drain bolt. I have seen at least 3 variations of the diesel pan, one of which has a fitting for a turbo oil return line. The one I obtained from Overland has the new style drain plug and no turbo return fitting. It has the VW/Audi emblem and a VW part number. I don't recall the price.
