Subject: how many people drive vw as daily driver
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I drove my '84 daily for years, topped 200,000 on the rebuild (low mileage, I know!) before I got my '90, now it's a daily driver for my wife to go to the stables every day to take care of our horses --about 7 miles each way (I just walk across the parking lot to get from home to work- what a life!)

The wife has taken our '90 GL, with the kids (4) by themselves several times to Cincy, OH & Lynchburg, VA from Upstate NY without any worries (I do make sure she has the cell phone, though!)

Until I found this list, I thought the Vanagon was just another vehicle- I've had no major problems- What a van!
