I drive an 81 rabbit pickup daily. 1.8L 8V, scratch built turbo w/intercooler. Its not pretty, but very reliable considering the abuse it takes. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com]On Behalf Of John P. I run my '84 (158,000+) 8 miles each way to work, five days a week. Prior to this March, it was 25 miles each way. I've done this for the two years I've owned it.

My '71 Campmobile and '79 loaf were daily drivers as well.
