ok, a question:

with all the relays and fuses and bad connections and such in the D-pillar of the vanagon, how does one get to them in a westy? I've got the bentley, looked thru the chapters on the cabinets and how they're put in and all that, but for someone who's never removed any of the cabinets, what's the real-world practice to get to this area? Do I have to start at the spare and remove everything between it and the rear wiper to get there? Is dropping the evaporator required?

looking for some pointers...
