Rennie seems to be right about the weight factor on the VR6 engines. I talked to a guy last week who is in Delaware. He claims that he has put a VR6 with a turbo on it (don't know the details) into a Vanagon. Says it has alot of power (no, really?) but that the handling is all goofed up because of the extra weight and power (he says when he takes off the rear end is dipping down).

So there you have it. No matter how insane about Vanagons I think I am, there is always someone out there who makes me feel like a newbie :)
