Chris...

Todd gave me the following information:

I had this exact problem. The cause was a broken wire in the black rubber tube that goes from the door to the front of the van. Fixing the wire solved the problem. What was happening was that the wire that signals that one of the other locks are closed broke, so whenever you locked the door, it would lock all the locks, then the 'brain' would think that someone had opened one of the locks (because of the broken wire) and would then open all the locks. At first this was intermittent because the wire would sometimes make contact after the door was closed.

regards,

Todd

P.S. If you look, the wires are all connected behind the fuse box - so it is possible to test the continuity of the wires through the door without pulling them out.

Actually though... no my problem is compounded because suddenly the problem stopped! As Todd says, it's probably a broken wire that has made contact again, but now the problem is finding the break. An intermittent problem is the worst kind!

Good luck!

Hopefully some one on this list know how to stop it.

Let me know if you should fine a cure.

Good luck,

Chris
