The folks are off to Germany for a month and I was interested in having them bring something back for the 90 MV that would either be cheaper there or hard to get here, i.e., unique. However, I am not sure where in Germany many items could be found. They will be mostly in Southern Germany between Bavaria and Black Forest region. Two primary constraints: it has to be of a reasonable size to ship over here as baggage and of course, cost. Any ideas from anyone?

Much appreciated. Gregg >>

Not sure what to suggest. You really need to know what you are looking for and where to buy it before you go.

Most any accessory will be cheaper over there as most US importers put a high price on the stuff they import. I don't do this myself. I add the shipping costs, but don't inflate the prices.

If you were looking for wheels, or body kits like from Projektzwo, this stuff would be a lot cheaper over there, but impossible to carry back on a plane.

You may send them to a VW dealer with a list of European only small parts. A European name badge like "Transporter" or "Caravelle" would be cool. Keep in mind that there is a 17% tax added on top.

Paulchen bike racks, roof racks, camping accessories, Projektzwo accessories, swivel seat adapters, are just a few items that you can find over there.
