Drew, Hi. I've heard of more people having problems with the core and gasket than the valve itself. But since you're back there, you may want to do it all... the gasket 861 819 297. The valve is 867 819 809B and sells for about 45 bucks and the core is 867 819 121A and sells for about 70. Beats doing it in the cold this winter. Cheers,

Jim 91 Syncro Adventurewagon, new core and gasket last winter. Fairborn OH ----- Original Message ----- From: Drew Bedford <drew@BOMB-PROOF.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Monday, September 11, 2000 1:53 PM Subject: Coolant leak. Rear heater control valve?
