Hi List, I can buy an 87 Wolfsburg Edition Vanagon for around a 1000 dollars. The man was originally asking 1400.00. He says it has new tires(which my matching vehicle needs!) on factory VW alloys, same interior arrangement as mine(2 front buckets, 2 rear facing jump seats + an extra set of jump seats w/all hardware, a back bench seat that folds into bed). However, it runs but only so-so, and the body is supposedly dented on every panel. All A/C and coolant parts work according to owner. I figure if i was to go out and buy tires it would cost me at least 4-500.00 anyway. If i bought this i could sell whatever i don't use(including the worst of the 4 alloy rims and jump seats) and make my dough back. I am supposed to look at this vehicle on Sat. or Sun. It is located somewhat close to me so delivery of vehicle will be minimal. What do you folks think? TIA, Paul F.
