> Well next week I will be taking my 85 Westy GL (White) from Cleveland to > Algonquin Provincial Park for 5 days of sea kayaking. Anything I ought to > watch out for other than the usual (I am packing a full tool kit, my birth > cert., and the gear is in good shape) Can anyone give me a read on the > weather at Algonquin for the last week of September. Jonathan, Most definitely COLD at night with the possibility of light frost. It can be quite warm in the day time but equally likely cold and rainy. September, in this part of Ontario, is a weather change over period. It is these cold nights that cause the trees to change to such vivid colours (Kanuk spelling). Bring a good warm wet suit. -Larry Johnson in the Haliburton Highlands just 5 miles south of the Park |
