I thought that I had a Weber carb but somebody misspelled weber as SOLEX.&nbsp; It's a 2 barrel, progressive with an Bosch 009 dist, with centrifugal spark advance and points/condenser with a K&amp;N filter.&nbsp; I get plenty of power and about the same mileage as FI folks with syncro westies.&nbsp; I'm happy with carbs as it is now a "one wire engine".&nbsp; I am about to add the pertronix elect ignition. <A HREF="http://www.pertronix.com/">http://www.pertronix.com/</A> .&nbsp; MOre info if you need it.&nbsp; Malcolm <p>Any one out there run carbs on their vanagon instead of FI?&nbsp; I am running dual 34 Webers on a newly rebuilt engine, and they lack power.&nbsp; As anyone ran anything else?&nbsp; Adam Puzerewski</html>
