I don't think that you want to replace the oem coil. I think that it is critical to FI function. However, all is not lost. I left the original coil then used a Jacobs Omni-Pak http://135.145.194.92 amplify it. I did this 3 years ago and their product line has changed. Ask them which one to recommend. Got a BIG spark allowing me to run a much larger plug gap, which burns the fuel better with all of the improvements that this suggests. However #2, an amplifier like this is not going to cure the sluggish running. Find and fix that problem first, then go for performance upgrades.
