Hi Folks,

I own a 1991 Vanagon, GL. It has the large grey fiberglass(?) bumpers.

I am looking into getting some extra driving lights and am in need of some
information.

1. What brand might you recommend (Hella for exmp). and why? Can you pass on
a make and model that works well for you? Size?

2. Are they easy to install on a 1991 Fiberglass bumper? Is there any kind
of concern regarding installing some? I've seen some Vanagons driving around
with lights mounted on the front bumper, tho I have not looked closely to
see how they were mounted.

3. Where is the on/off switch located in your Vanagon? I have a free
button/switch cut out below my hazards. I'd love to know if I can buy a
spare vanagon dash switch and use that as my on off switch. I like the idea
of keeping my dash clean and stock looking.

4. Is the wiring easy?

5. Where, relative to the square head lights, should the lights be mounted?
Is there an optimum/Ideal distance apart on the bumper?

Finally, would anyone be able to pass some fotos of their van with lights? I
would love to see what's being done. ;)

forum. I cannot seem to access the vanagon.com archives today. My browsers
