+ term on the alternator (or do aircooled vas have the 3 wire plug for the motorola alternators)? If you have that silly plug, you can pop open the box wire distro box in the hatch and use the 'high amperage connection post'. If you don't have either of those, then I guess the coil connection as someone else had mentioned...
