Volks,

The last time I posted, back in December I think, I was in the process of
installing the AVP 2L rebuild.  Well the engine is running great after
nearly 3000 miles......except for this one little nagging problem.  When
the outside temperature gets down into the 50s it just doesn't want to
crank.  Once it cranks (usually after a jump start) and is warm, it cranks
fine, until it gets cold (overnight) again.  It's an automatic so, I can't
roll or push start it. During the summer here in the south it hasnt been a
problem.  But, now that fall is in the air, I can see it coming again.

I had the local FLAPS check the battery today and it checked ok.  Its a
group 42 (per the label) no name battery with 400 CCA.

Could it be the cold start value?? I don't know where to look next.  The
old engine, running on only three cylinders, cranked fine, even in very
cold weather.  The engine runs great with plenty of power in every other
respect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  A simple thanks, after all the help
I have received from reading the post on this list, seems so inadequate.
