Subject: '82 Westy Diesel Aux. Heater
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Our recent trip to the U.P. of Michigan and Ontario saw night temps drop into the upper 30's. This has prompted me to wonder if it might be worth repairing the diesel heater on the '82. While the vehicle only has 40K on it, it sat for a number of years before I bought it and the heater has never worked since I have owned it. Our vanagon mechanic said parts and repairs may be cost prohibitive. Anyone here have any experience with this heater or the repair of it? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeff 82 Westy 74 Beetle 97 Jetta 88 Jetta
