Subject: 022D Digifant Upgrade Chip Performance Report...
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Well, I have had the chip in now for about 250 miles. Power and Mileage have improved. It should get better as a learn to not accelerate as hard to get to speed. I have been pressing the accelerator hard to check the power difference. Engine revs easier to 5000 rams now. With the increase in power, I am shifting gears at @3400 rams down from @4000 rams in traffic.

Before the chip, when I press the accelerator pedal past 1/3 to 1/2 up until full throttle the engine was not as responsive as in the first 1/3 pedal. The air flow meter was being overloaded with the increase in airflow past it and then the ECU ignored the signal, then defaulted to a default signal. Now with the chip I have full use of the accelerator pedal travel.

The engine and engine compartment are also a bit cooler.

The chip has done what was started it would, make the engine run better with increased performance.

More reports to follow as the others that ordered the chip get them installed.

Robert
