Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.

When I try the temp knob nothing happens.  Does that mean I can rule out the
overheat fuse, b/c as there was no fan operation?  Should I concentrate on
the main fuse.  Bentley says it is somewhere behind the glovebox.  How hard
is it to access?
