Subject: Last chance for 16" wheels!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi all. I thought I'd share a tidbit of info from my local VW dealer. I was trying to locate the 16" steel wheels used on the "Syncro 16" as part of my somewhat questionable plan to fit yet taller tires to my '90 syncro. The part # for these wheels is 251 601 027A, the "A" being the key, as without the "A" you get just the standard 14" x 6" steel wheel.

Well, the parts guy called VW Worldwide (or whatever it is called) and after about a day finally found that there are only 4 of them left. In the world. Period. The 4 remaining wheels are located in Canada and would cost $159 US... each. I'm not about to buy 4 without a 5th for a spare, but for anyone so inclined, get 'em while you can!
