The two paid that filed on my van both had the thick end attached to the rear door. For me, it was pretty much all or nothing - the struts will hold the door a little over halfway up. But being that I'm 6'5" tall, doesn't do me a lot of good.

Is there a better quality strut available (btw - the failed hatch struts are the Heavy-Duty German-made variety)? Again, I'm not looking for negative feedback on The Bus Depot - but I want to see if my situation is an isolated incident like they have claimed.
