Hey

Just to let everyone know that Toronto had their very first vanagon meeting last night and that we all felt it was the beginning of a beautiful thing. We were six in, a small but comfortable number upon which to build, and the conversations ranged over a wide variety of topics as we all discovered our mutual interests. Larry and Avery Johnson came down from the Algonquin Park area (Happy birthday to Avery), Doug Alcock, Steve Heller, and Reynold and myself from various parts of Toronto. Casey's parking lot was chock a block when we arrived, but we managed to circle the wagons at the end of the evening and trade notes in the dark. It was all very friendly and we've informally decided to meet on the third Wednesday of every month. Given the parking situation though, we probably need to find a different venue, one where we can all park in proximity to each other. Of course we encourage all others in the Toronto area to join us next time, as well as any and all who might just be passing through. Spread the word!
