I agree, that seat belts are safer, than without, helmets are another
story.
I've been riding a bike for 38 years, and have done so without. They
restrict your peripheral vision, and your hearing, something terrible.
No thanks.
The only real problem with either of these laws is the infringement of
my personal right to make my own decision.
It is wrong for any state or federal government to decide what is safe
for me or anyone else.
Period.
