Watch out for moose! I went up there about 4 years ago and wound up driving in late at night. I came up and over a hill and in the middle of the road stood the largest beast I had ever seen! :) I thought I could drive underneath it (in my friend's honda). I wouldn't recommend trying in your westy, though!

Algonquin is one of my favorite places. I'm hoping to get the family up there sometime again soon. However, our next northern-top will be to Kingston. We have some things in storage in there and we'll be towing a small trailer behind our '84 1.9L.

Well next week I will be taking my 85 Westy GL (White) from Cleveland to Algonquin Provincial Park for 5 days of sea kayaking. Anything I ought to watch out for other than the usual (I am packing a full tool kit, my birth cert., and the gear is in good shape) Can anyone give me a read on the weather at Algonquin for the last week of September.
