I like the Hella Vision Plus Headlights that Uncle Joel recommended to me, I'm not sure if this sale is still on but I posted this August 13th... In my search for Hella information I ran across this sale in "Excellence" magazine. Hella Vision plus Halogen Headlights from www.automotion.com for $35.96 US their regular price is $45 but I'm sure I've seen them for $50 to $55 everywhere else. In the ad they look like they are mounted on a Porsche 944, which given Pokey's top speed makes me smile... The ad reads: Hella Vision Plus Halogen Headlights 20% Sale The 7-inch Round Hella Headlamp is a direct replacement for most stock Porsche headlights, and yields dramatically increased night vision, to 5,400 ft. The real advantage lies in the excellent light coverage and 50% higher output on low beam . This lets you see better all the time, without the fear of blinding oncoming drivers. 7" H4 Headlamp 802500 Was $44.95 Now! 35.96 EA SAE AND DOT APPROVED IN ALL 50 STATES Thanks, Chris Gronski Toronto, Ontario, '80 Westy "Pokey" '87 Chevrolet Sprint 5-Door '91 Pontiac Firefly Convertible ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeffrey R" <Oxroad@AOL.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Monday, September 25, 2000 3:49 PM Subject: Hella H4/why such different prices?
> I'm looking into getting Hella H4 headlights (7" round halogen lights that > replace existing 7" round headlights). I see great price discrepancies > 1.Are there different types of H4 headlights? > 2.do they all have lead crystal lenses? > 3.Are they street-legal in California or anywhere? > 4.Do they all have a high and low beam? > 5. Are they worth having? > 6.And are they worth the risk of a summons? > The following prices are for a pair of 7" H4 headlights to the best of my > knowledge. Why such a difference? > > For a pair: > Rocky Mountain Motor Works gets $66 > The Bus Depot gets $35 > West Coast Metric has them but I couldn't find a price > In Hot VWs: > SoCal Imports gets $16 > Moore Parts Source gets $16 > > TIA > Jeff > 83.5 Westy > heading to CA > |
