Subject: What is the best VW for $4000 CAD? 1988 Cabriolet? No Vanagon
              Content
Content-Type: text/plain

My Girlfriend is looking for a car not a Vanagon - we're happy with Pokey and don't really need two.

She's got the opportunity to buy a 1988 Cabriolet, red with black top, white interior, 5 speed, ps, new exhaust and battery, no rust, non smoker, saftey and emissions tested for $4000 CAD / $2700 US. Is this a good car? Any other VW recomendations in this price range? What should you watch out for around this year in Golfs?

Thanks, Chris Gronski Toronto, Ontario '80 Westy "Pokey" '87 Chevrolet Sprit (Ice Racer) '91 Pontiac Firefly Convertible
