Transporter 1984 1.9l gasoline european specs.


I have a strobe light where I can set the advance in degrees.


1. Is the notch on the belt pulley at TDC or at 5 degrees ahead of TDC


2. Same question for the mark on the flywheel.


3. I can't see the notch on the pulley and the mark on the flywheel at the same time (they'r 90 degrees apart) and I have to connect the strobe to the front left cylinder (when standing behind the vehicle, facing forward) in order to see the notch with the strobe. 


Is this cylinder 1?
Should the notch and the mark coincide?
