Hi,

I made my first trip to the left coast last week, and spent Tuesday afternoon through Sunday morning in Silicon Valley, including San Jose, San Francisco, Monterey, Santa Cruz, etc. I decided to count Vanagons (not busses or eurovans or new beetles, I can't count that high) just to see how many I could find in 5 days in the Vanagon capital of the U.S. -- I got up to 43! The highest density was San Francisco. In the 1/2 hour on Friday night that we walked across the Golden Gate bridge, we saw 10 pass by! That was incredible. The best sighting was #41, a beautiful white Syncro Westy in Monterey on Saturday. It had the tag "TEEPEE," and a list sticker too!
