It sound to me like your coolant is not circulating sufficiently. Normally I'd look at the water pump first and if ok I'd check for an obstruction. But if you bleed the system with "the raised front end; 2000 rpm; bleed the rad until antifreeze comes out" method then you would know that the pump is ok and that there is no obstruction. So that can't be it. Right? -Larry
