Subject: 2.1l Engine with new heads FS
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

I am replacing the engine in my '91 Carat Vanagon in preparations for trip down south. This engine has 175k miles on it and runs well. It has two new AMC heads and new German head gaskets that I just installed back in December of 99 (see the archives for full details). The engine has good power, but the oil pressure is a little lower than I would like (bottom end is getting tired) and I would hate for my van to throw a rod on my trip and leave me stranded yet again far from home. It would probably last for 200k miles if you were just driving it around town but the trips are what kill these things. Anyway I am basically selling it as a good core with new heads on it (around 10k miles on the heads), and also a new water pump (replaced the same time as the heads). I would like $1200 obo for this engine (the heads alone would cost you $800 for the pair if you bought them new). The engine does not use oil or coolant. Let me know if you are interested. I should be pulling the motor out either the end of this week or the beginning of next week. The price does not include shipping from Millville, NJ 08332.

Thanks, Ken Wilford Van-Again John 3:16 http://www.vanagain.com Office: (856)-765-1583 Fax: (856)-327-2242
