I now have the 4-headlight South African grill kits in stock. They can be used on all Vanagons.

The basic kit includes the grill, emblem, and inner driving lights with brackets. Unlike others that have been sold, my kit includes the correct GENUINE VW inner lights, not a pair of cheesy generic lights. These correct inner lights cost me $$$, but the fit and performance of these correct lights is tons better than the cheap generics that "kind of fit" in the grill. This package runs $299.95 and is all you need for '80-85 applications. (See below for '86-91.) You would use your existing 7" headlights, and can either pigtail off of them to power the inner lights or (preferably) use a simple relay. The inner lights will come on with your headlights. Part # 1495.

The following options are also available:

H4 headlights (pair), $34.95. These can optionally be used on '80-85 to upgrade your stock sealed-beam units, and are neccessary on '86-91 to replace your existing retangular headlamps. (Note: They are also an excellent, cheap upgrade for '80-85 even if you don't buy the grill kit; just pop them in, in place of your stock headlights.) Part # HQ6014.

Indash Switch Kit $16.95. This allows you to manually turn on and off your inner lights independently of the headlights. Matches the stock switches in your dash and goes in the "blank spot" to the right of the gauges (where the other switches are). Has a light that illuminates to let you know that the driving lights are on. Part # ZVW 123 251.

If you have an '86-91, besides the H4 headlights (above), you will need to fabricate a mount and wiring plug to replace the stock ones on your outer lights. I will have wiring plugs available shortly at low cost (about $10/pair), but you can easily find them at your local Pep Boys etc. since the 6014 bulbs are such a common size on many vehicles. I can also provide headlight buckets for a bus, which I understand can be modified to work, for about $40/pair. But an even simpler solution is to go to a junkyard and buy the wiring plug, buckets, and even headlights if desired, off of any '80-85 junk Vanagon, and then just use the basic $299 kit above. (For that matter, any '68-79 bus will have the same wiring plug, headlights, and buckets that can be modified).

I do not have a ton of these to sell; I believe I have about six kits at the moment.
