Subject: Re: Rear speaker mounting bracket

Hi John,

I made a metal bracket in the shape of a upside down U but more of a square shape.

I drilled holes in the bottom of the U so as to attach the bracket to the ceiling. I also drilled one hole in each side to hang the speaker using the hole on each side of the speaker and a screw.

I soon found out I could not access the one side to put the screw in. So I took the speaker back down and made the blind side screw hole on the speaker bigger so I could put a rivet in it. The rivet is flush on the outside but when riveting a 'plug' is made on the inside.

I made the hole in the side of the bracket big enough to accept the 'rivet plug', then just hung it blind side first and then just put a screw into the side I could reach.

I was careful the metal didn't short circuit anything electrical.
