Hello Listees- This is a little long, so bear with me... I really need some advice on a 1985 Westy (Wolfsburg) I am considering buying in SC. This is a pop top without the kitchen (wider rear bench, flip up table, jump seat behind driver, and floor mounted cooler behind passenger seat). It belongs to a little old couple in my neighborhood who have taken very good care of it for the 13 years they have owned it. I'd give the exterior about a B+ (no rust - southern car) some sun damage to paint and dashboard, other wise could clean up fairly well. The interior is also about a B+, no rips or tears, everything seems to work. Has auto, A/C, AM/FM/cass, etc...the basics. The engine, however, purrs like a kitten! No leaks, runs amazingly smooth, 110,000 miles on original engine. All this to say the guy wants 4400.00 and would probably sell it for 4000. I would be driving it up to MN and after a season or so would probably sell it up there as I already have another Westfalia. Does this seem like something I could eventually get my investment back out of? I don't really know what resale would be like on this up north, but I would think pretty good?! Thanks for any input.

Scott K. Greenville, SC
