I'll take this time to put a shameless plug for my rear bumper on the Vanagon list.

I sell a rear tube bumpers that have a 2.0" trailer hitch reciever built into it. It's built like a tank and can withstand my wife backing into a new Ford Explorer and putting a huge dent in the rear passanger door. Only damage to my Westfailia was... none actually, just two small spots of silver paint on the bumper and $2000 out of my wallet for damages!

See http://www.fastforwarda.ca/vanagon for a picture and pricing.
