David, the Vanagon Pro Training manual brags of the fact that NO changes were
necessary to the chassis to accommodate the Syncro drive train. If you took
EVERYTHING from the Syncro drive train
(wheels/brakes/halfshafts/differentials/VC/transmission/engine/exhaust/intake)
plus its fuel tank and fuel system and fuel filler pipe/housing then
transplanted it, you'd have it.
But why bother.
