Subject: Anybody have info on the German Factory Awning?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi Volks:

Yesterday I had the good fortune of purchasing subject awning from a Cdn serviceman - who bought it from the German factory (VW or Westfalia?) when he got his Vanagon there in 82.

Here's what I know about it:

It has a frame like the VW? factory tents; It has a retracable end - so you can park your van close, and then adjust the awning so it "snuggs up"; It has a "boot" to connect with the van's roof; It's HUGE; The awning fabric is rubberized "something" - canvas? and is a greyish tan colour (was pretty dark when we set it up); It's been in storage since 84!

Does anybody have an idea where this thing was made, and have an idea of it's market valuation, as well?

TIA!
